For your first appointment, regardless of the service you are receiving, we recommend you wear comfortable workout clothes.
You may also want to bring a water bottle. if you have a prescription for physical therapy from your physician, you can bring that with you if you have not already sent that to us.
-
Your first physical therapy appointment will be about 60 minutes. In your first session, a doctor of physical therapy will perform an evaluation involving a discussion of medical history, assessing your symptoms, and taking objective measurements.
Based on the results of the assessment, your therapist will provide you with a diagnosis or an explanation of your presentation and then develop a personalized treatment plan to help you reach your goals.
-
The frequency and total number of physical therapy visits depends on your individual needs and condition. we will be able to provide a better recommendation following the initial evaluation, but we typically see patients 1-2 times per week.
Your physical therapist will work closely with you to determine the optimal frequency for your treatment plan, and the frequency will often decrease as you get closer to your goals and build independence with your plan of care.
-
No, you do not need a prescription from a physician to see a physical therapist in georgia. this is known as direct access, which means that you can schedule an appointment with a physical therapist without having to see a physician first.
However, after 21 days or 8 visits (whichever comes first), you will need a prescription to continue treatment unless it is determined that services are being provided for health promotion, wellness, fitness, or maintenance purposes.
-
Our pt services are paid for on a per session basis or you can pre-purchase a package of multiple sessions at a discounted rate. Following your evaluation and creation of your treatment plan, you and your therapist will have a better understanding of which package is ideal for you, if any.
If you would like an estimate, please book a discovery call so that we can gather some information about your current needs and see which service/package would be best for you.
We accept all major forms of payment such as card, check, and cash. We also accept hsa and fsa as forms of payment.
-
We are an out-of-network provider, which means that we do not directly bill insurance companies. this allows us to provide a more individualized, hands-on, 1-on-1 approach to care. however, we can still help you get reimbursed for your visits by providing you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company.
The amount you are reimbursed will depend on your out-of-network benefits. if you are not sure what your out-of-network benefits are, we recommend contacting your insurance company.
-
While it is impossible to completely prevent an injury from occurring, we can help you reduce your risk of injury. this is done by managing the amount of physical stress placed on your body, maximizing recovery, and increasing your body’s capacity to tolerate stress.
We do this by identifying risk factors, creating a personalized strengthening program, and providing education along the way.

We understand that things come up and appointments sometimes need to be cancelled or rescheduled. However, we kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. this allows us to make the most of our therapists’ time and ensure that other patients have the opportunity to schedule appointments.
If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you may be subject to a cancellation fee.
